SPECIAL TO THE STATE GAZETTE

Angel Dycus, Director of Transitions, welcomed everyone in prayer. Mayor John Holden read a proclamation, making the day official, and presented the proclamation to Dycus. Mechelle Inman and residents gave their “cardboard testimony” (a method of testifying using two sides of cardboard), and the music was led by Barry Patrick and Dion Wilson. The guest speaker was Stacey Stanley of Riverbend Recovery from New Madrid, Missouri. A Transitions spokesperson said, “It was a beautiful day for the families to enjoy music, food, entertainment, pictures and visit with one another.”

Transitions is a ministry committed to helping change the lives of women through the transforming power of Jesus Christ who redeem lives through His unconditional love, grace, and mercy.

“If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
