Zaxby’s, Chipotle, and Aldi’s are making their way to Lake Rd.

Dyersburg will soon welcome two new restaurants and one grocery store, according to a Planning Commission Meeting held on October 10.

The Commission unanimously approved the three businesses, which will include Zaxby’s, Chipotle, and Aldi’s. The businesses will be situated at 2495 Lake Rd. a plat located on the corner of Lake Road and Pennell Lane. A motion was made by Dement and seconded by Ramm to divide the plat into three separate lots. None were opposed.

Members of the Commission present during the meeting included Mayor John Holden, James Baltimore, Brian Rahm, Tony Dement, and Mark Oakes. Absent were Paul Newbill, Sheri Guthrie, Chairman Eddie Burks, and Megan Brooks.

Others Present: Joren Dunnavant, Chief Brett Sipes, Chief Thomas Langford, Slater Barr, Alderwoman Vanedda Webb, Alderman Edward Burks, Jimmy Cooper, Tracey Latham, Tim Ware, Rusty Norville, and Craig Barron.

The motion to approve the Zaxby’s/Chipotle site was made by Ramm and seconded by Dement, with all others in favor.

Dement made the motion to approve the Aldi’s site plan and seconded it to Ramm, with all others in favor.

19 new residential lots will be created on a preliminary plat located at Jenkinsville-Jamestown Road following a motion made by Baltimore and seconded by Ramm. The lots are being funded by local company AMI.

Lastly, a property located at 1404 Hwy. 51 Bypass will be rezoned from P-B (planned business) to M-2 (general manufacturing) following a motion made by Ramm and seconded by Baltimore. The motion was unopposed.

With no further business, the meeting adjourned.
