Keep Tennessee Beautiful announces Ready. Set. Grow! 5K

Memphis, Tenn. (Oct. 8, 2024) - Keep Tennessee Beautiful will host the seventh annual Ready. Set. Grow! 5K, 2 – 6 p.m. CDT, October 13, 2024. The race will take place at Shelby Farms Park in Memphis, Tenn. Runners may pick up their bibs at the registration at 2 p.m., CDT. Proceeds from the 5K benefit the annual Keep Tennessee Beautiful Three Grand Divisions Scholarship program.
“The Ready. Set. Grow! 5K is a health awareness event as well as a great opportunity to remind Tennesseans to help keep our state clean and beautiful,” Executive Director Missy Marshall, Keep Tennessee Beautiful, said. “It’s an incredible event that welcomes all levels of athletes, including avid runners, or people interested in walking the route. Most of all it’s a fun day, benefitting a worthwhile cause.”
Ready. Set. Grow! 5K awards will be presented to the top three overall adult male finishers and the top three overall adult female finishers. Children 12 & under awards will go to the overall male and over all female winners. All participants will receive T-shirts and race bibs. Finisher medals will be presented to everyone who completes the race. Post-race activities feature a bounce house, face painter, food truck, door prizes and other vendors.
This year’s list of sponsors includes the Tennessee Department of Transportation, Tennessee Recycling Coalition, Tennessee Delta Alliance, Honest Monument Company, and Food City.
