Every year, thousands of women’s lives are negatively impacted by life-controlling issues such as substance abuse, anger and depression. Looking for a glimpse of hope during a time when hope is more than needed, Transitions of Dyer County extends a helpful hand to those women, offering them a way to transcend their circumstances and reshape their future lives.

“There is something we can do--we can save a life, both physically and spiritually!

The women are nurtured and discipled in the love of Jesus Christ in a safe environment conducive to life transformation. Transitions operates primarily on donations which are tax deductible and is very grateful for your help in changing lives and restoring families. Transitions has four phases in the in-house program. With each phase comes more responsibility.

During the second phase, residents are provided a mentor who meets with them weekly, providing them encouragement and being a positive role model. During the third phase, the resident is given an 8-hour pass once per week; they may visit family members or volunteer with Transitions. During the fourth phase and final phase of the in-house program, residents search for a job and begin to work. They are also given a 24-hour pass to visit with family.

God has called each of us to become something new, created in God’s image. Transitions uses the butterfly as their logo. Women enter the program as a caterpillar and transform their lives into a beautiful butterfly.

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “so if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new.”
