Downtown Dyersburg was lively with music and festivity Thursday evening as Dyer County Adult Leadership celebrated its “Courtyard on Main” leadership project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Alumni and supporters gathered to enjoy vendors on location and support leadership through the purchase of a t-shirt.

Following the ceremony, many walked over to the Downtown Pocket Park to enjoy some local tunes from Kurt and Andrea Stephenson, who perform at 6 p.m. from the park on the first Thursday of each month.

The Courtyard on Main was refreshed through this year’s Leadership Class with the addition of new lighting and artwork that was created by Dyersburg and Dyer County High Schools. The courtyard was also uplifted with a coat of fresh paint and a power washing.

Special thanks were extended to sponsors: First Citizens National Bank, Dyersburg State Community College, and NSK Steering.

The Courtyard on Main is available to the public by booking through the City of Dyersburg.
