Lola June Hurst

Ms. Lola June Hurst, of Dyersburg, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024 at her home.  She was born August 3, 1943 to the late Charlie & Nettie Yance.  She worked in a support capacity at the Dyersburg Hospital and also Dyersburg Fabrics.  She was a member of the Dyersburg Church of God who is remembered as a loving caregiver and nurturer.  She loved to work in her flower garden and enjoyed taking trips to Kentucky Lake with her family.  

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Hurst & wife, Mary Jo, her daughter-in-law, Angela Hurst, her brother, Jerry Yance, her grandchildren, Erica Lowery, Amanda Gibson, Michael Hurst & Gavin Hawks and her great-grandchildren, Cailey Lowery, Caleb Hawks, Aiden Gibson, Braxton Hawks, Jackson Lowery, Lillian Hawks, Abigail Hawks, Bentley Hurst, Harrison & Houston Hurst & Hensleigh Hurst. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Hurst, her son Jody Hurst, her brother, Harvey Yance and sisters Willie Mae Dickson, Marie Permenter & Lucille Yance. 

Visitation will be held at Dyersburg Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m.  on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 conducted by Rev. Robert Davis.  Interment will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.  Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Gavin Hawks, Michael Hunt, Johnny Yance, Chase Davis, Jonathan Lowery & Jeffery Gibson. 

Robert Anthony “Andy” Davis

Robert Anthony "Andy" Davis, 64, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Monday, September 16, 2024, at his residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Davis will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.  Committal services will follow in Sudbury Cemetery in Friendship, Tennessee. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

Elisabeth Maria Callens

Elisabeth Maria Callens, 75, of Ridgely, Tennessee, died on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Funeral services for Mrs. Callens will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Cottonwood Baptist Church in Ridgely, Tennessee. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Cottonwood Baptist Church.

Ann “Annie Bell” Smith

Ann "Annie Bell" Smith, 51, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Monday, September 16, 2024, in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

A Celebration of Life Visitation for Ms. Smith will be held from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2024at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.  

Nancy C. Hardin

Nancy C. Hardin, 86, died peacefully Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at her residence surrounded by family. Born in Miami, FL on September 27, 1937, she is the daughter of the late Reverend David Junkin and Betty Jeanette Smith Cathcart. Nancy was a devoted mother to her children and family. Some of her greatest joys were spending time with her family, friends, church family, her many beloved students, along with her Hispanic families with whom she shared so many experiences and so much love. Que Dios los bendigan siempre.

Celebration of Life will be from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2024, in the Fellowship Hall of Dyersburg First United Methodist Church, where she was a faithful member. A moment of reflection will be at 3:00 p.m. lead by Rev. Dr. Mary Beth Bernheisel, Rev. Dell King and Rev. Robert Craig.

She is survived by her children, Angel Santana, Ellen Santana (George Russell) and David Santana (Melanie), two grandchildren; Brady Heidenreich and Adonia Garvin (Seth) and four great grandchildren: Logan, Indigo, Journey and Rêverie, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Susan, and husbands, Angel E. Santana and Harold E. Hardin. Cremation services are under the direction of Curry Funeral Home.
