Farm to Table event benefitting Healing Horses to be held Sept. 19

This year’s Farm to Table event will be held on Thursday, Sept 19. The event will be held at Fyrne Lake’s Lanai venue, located at 6875 Lenox-Nauvoo Rd. The dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Farm to Table is an annual event that brings the community together for a fun evening of great food, live entertainment, and fellowship. All proceeds benefit Healing Horses, Inc., and also help fund the annual Healing Horses Fun Day Camp.

Healing Horses is a non-profit organization designed to enhance the lives of community members through therapeutic equine-assisted therapy. Located at 225 Parker Rd. in RoEllen, Healing Horses Inc. was founded by Sonya Burks in 2014 in an effort to provide therapy to individuals with disabilities and special needs. Burks is a PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) certified instructor.

This year’s food vendors will include Lock's Store, Moustos Pasta-Grill, Timbers BBQ and Grill, Jordan's Grab'n Go, and Coby Joe's Diner.

Flowers will be provided by Geraldine's Florist and Lily's Garden.
