Northview volleyball takes DMS in two sets

In the first meeting between volleyball teams from Dyersburg Middle School and Northview, the Lady Choctaws from Newbern emerged victorious despite a rough start to take a two-set win over the Lady Trojan on Tuesday at Northview Middle School.

DMS got on the board early and often, jumping out to a 6-0 lead before Northview stormed back to cut deep into the Lady Trojan lead. The back-and-forth action continued through the opening set before Northview took the first set 25-20.

Northview controlled much of the scoring in the second set as the Lady Choctaws closed out the match with a 25-9 win in the second set to seal the two-set win.

Northview returns to action on Thursday when the Lady Choctaws host Haywood at 5:30 p.m. Meanwhile, DMS heads back to the court on Thursday as well with the Lady Trojans hosting Halls at 5 p.m.
