CCA Class of 2025 paint the parking lot for senior year

Ava Medlin: "It took me 9 hours over the span of two days to paint my parking spot. The inspiration for my design is my love for Taylor Swift. One of the lyrics from one of her many songs says, 'It's been a long time coming'. I thought this was the perfect lyric to pull into my senior spot while also displaying my love for Taylor Swift."

SPECIAL TO THE STATE GAZETTE

Christ Classical Academy's Class of 2025, the second since launching a high school in 2020, was tasked with creating traditions for CCA's seniors to enjoy both this year and for years to come. One of the traditions they chose is to paint their very own parking spots. CCA's Class of 2025 was asked to share more about their experience of being the very first CCA seniors to paint parking spots.

Rachel Wesson: "It took me eight hours over the span of ten days to paint my parking spot. The inspiration for my design was the thought that this is our last year in school, so I came up with the idea to paint a pink mini bug with the saying 'Rachel's Last Ride'."

Dyver Nicks: "It took me ten hours over the span of four days to paint my parking spot. The inspiration for my design is I have always been patriotic and love to support our country. When I was thinking of what to do, I immediately thought it would be cool to do the American flag."

Morgan Sharp: "It took me about eight hours over the span of a week to paint my parking spot. The inspiration for my design is I admire all things pink, so this was the perfect opportunity to show that! I feel I was able to express my personality through my parking spot."

Aiden Melugin: "It took me close to four hours over the span of two days to paint my parking spot. The inspiration for my design is that I plan on attending the University of Missouri next year, and I have always supported their sports programs."
