When the 2025 Three Oaks Baseball season sees its first pitch in a few months, there will be a new head coach leading the way as Dyer County alum Hayden Campbell has been named as the Choctaws’ new skipper.

“It’s a great feeling to be named the head guy here at Three Oaks,” Campbell said of being hired to take the helm of the Three Oaks program. “I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to lead this program.”

Campbell, a 2018 graduate of Dyer County High School, played college baseball at both Dyersburg State and Freed Hardeman following his time in orange and white.

“I was tremendously blessed by God with the opportunity to play baseball for a long time, and that allowed me to learn many things about this sport from people and coaches across the country,” Campbell explained. “This experience is what I’m going to bring and share with these young men to prepare them for their future in baseball.”

Three Oaks Principal Matthew Stafford said the school is excited about having Campbell take over the reins of the Choctaw program.

“We are excited about Hayden Campbell taking over our baseball program at Three Oaks Middle School,” Stafford said. “Hayden is a graduate of Dyer County High School and Freed Hardeman University where he played baseball for four years. He has been an assistant coach at Three Oaks during his tenure here and will do a fantastic job leading the baseball program.”
