Jerry Alexander Dunevant

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Alexander Dunevant, 80, will be held on Tuesday June 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Crockett Mills Christian Church with Bro. Don McCulley officiating. Burial will follow in the Crockett Mills Cemetery. Mr. Dunevant passed away on Thursday June 20th. He was born in Dyer County on December 26,1943 son of the late Isaac and Ruth Curtis Dunevant and had lived most of his life in Northwest Tennessee. Mr. Dunevant was a Mechanical Engineer retiring from Heckethorn Manufacturing and a member of the Crockett Mills Christian Church. He leaves to cherish his memory daughter, Kay Dunevant, Dyersburg, TN, sons. Terry Dunevant (Edith), Newbern, TN, Matthew Dunevant, Ethan Dunevant, both of Medina, TN, one grandchild, Christie Davis, and two great grandchildren, Kerrigan Davis, Taylor Faulkner. Visitation with the family will be on Monday June 24th from 5 to 7 p. m. at the funeral home and again at the church on Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a. m. until the funeral hour. Pallbearers to serve will be Roger Ballard, Danny Hutchison, Jason Mansfield, Michael Latham, Billy Goff and Michael Mansfield. Sharron Lanell Crum Bessent

Sharron Lanell Crum Bessent, age 74 of Ringgold, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 22, 2024. She was born in Dyersburg, TN to the late Robert Crum and Martha Dodd Summers, moved to the Ringgold area in 2012, after living most of her life in Dyersburg, TN. Sharron founded the Dyer County Literacy program and retired after more than 25 years. She attended the River of Life Church. Sharron was also a member of the Tennessee Literacy Board and The Rotary Club. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed. Those left to cherish Sharron’s memory are her daughters and sons-in-law, Shelley Bessent Porter & Jeremy Porter of Dyersburg and Holly Bessent Crider & Sean Crider of Ringgold; sisters, Cindy Elmore and Sondra (David) Thomas; brother, Steve Winstead; grandchildren, Michael Piatt, Christopher (Caylie) Crider, Jacob (Emily) Crider, Sarah Piatt, Grace Crider (Justin) Morris, and Nicholas; great grandchildren, Ava Grace Crider and Birdie Jane Crider; extended family, Miles Thomas, Matt Thomas, and Dustin Pickard. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 pm Tuesday, June 25, 2024 in Hamilton Memorial Gardens, Chattanooga, with Pastor Terri Crider officiating. Darlene Ferguson Johnson

Darlene Ferguson Johnson, 63, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at her residence in Newbern, Tennessee.

Graveside services for Mrs. Johnson will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Mr. Patrick Williams. Visitation for Mrs. Johnson will be held on Monday from 9:30 AM until 11:15 AM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
