A rare Grevy Zebra is born at Tennessee Safari Park

Thursday, July 25, 2024
There’s been a special birth at the Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo, Tennessee. A mama Grevy Zebra foaled a female on July 19, and the baby is healthy and already growing. Grevy Zebras are on the endangered species list. Co-owner of the park Claude H. Conley said, “There aren’t many left in the world.” He said that most of the surviving ones are “in the States.” The Safari Park breeds its rarer animals for the parks, zoos, and for release back in the wild.
